Jenna's Haircut -Pixie

Yesterday my Janson brought the girls to my work so we could eat lunch together. It was so fun. I was so impressed at how nice their hair looked (didn't know Janson could braid hair). P.S  - note how cute and long Jenna's hair is.

And this is what happened later in the day while I was still at home.

CARLIE GAVE JENNA A HAIRCUT unbeknownst to Janson

This is ALL calorie. Janson has not touched it.
This is them in time out.

As I was leaving work I called Janson to let him know I was on my way home and he told me what had happened worried that I was going to freak out! Instead I bursted out laughing because I could only imagine what it looked like. Janson had the exact same reaction as I did when he first saw it but clearly had to get "stern" with them for what they did. I was just grateful that Jenna didn't get hurt in the process and that it wasn't Carlie's hair that had been chopped off because it took her 3 years to grow it out to the length that Jenna has it (or had it) at now.

Carlies first day of Pre-School

Today, was the very first day of joy school for Carlie. Laura, Natalie, Katie and I are all taking turns to follow a curriculum and do a pre-school at home. We are only doing it once a week so it equals to each one of us teaching once a month. It's great! Carlie was SO excited to go to school today, she had a dream about it last night. Then, she was ready by 8:30 am (lunch packed and all) which is very out of her character (normally i have to be on her to get dressed and eat breakfast etc). So it was hard trying to keep her occupied for 2 hours until pre-school started. She decided to pick her outfit and how she wanted her hair (which to no surprise she wanted me to braid it because this is the ONLY way she wants me to do her hair). I know joy school is really not that big of a deal, but to me it was So exciting to watch her be excited to hit this milestone! Carlie loves to learn and she is really very bright. I love being a mom!

Jenna was sad when we dropped her off - she missed her friend. So we compensated by going to the library and chick fil a for the two hours she was in school.

These last couple of months have been busy. The greatest thing I have been looking forward to is my resignation from work. My official last day is Oct 8th. I have to admit I didn't jump on the opportunity right away for so many reasons - I do love my job, I have been progressing at work, and part of me wanted to keep working until I delivered our next baby just to save more money. But I do LOVE being at home with Carlie and Jenna and I do want to spend as much time as possible with them before Carlie really starts all day kindergarten. My heart is with my family and as much as I love my job, I have to take this opportunity, because what greater calling do I have than to be a mom? I am SO grateful to have the opportunity to be a stay at home mom.

DIRTY DASH - Aug 2013

Did the dirty dash this august (a 5K run through mud obstacles) with a few co-workers. Only, because there were so many people, the run turned more into running, stopping and waiting to do the obstacle, and so on. So it was not as physically draining as i thought but it was still a lot of fun! We decided to do a hawaiian theme.

BEST FRIENDS - August 2013

We had the Wojciechowski's over for a week and it was a BLAST having them stay with us! We are so sad when they left and wish they could move back. The kids were playing right where they had left off. One day we decided to let them make their own hot dogs and candy pies. We had plenty of amore and outdoor movie nights. Ashlin took these great pictures of the kids.

Just FYI, I don't normally look like this. I came home from a long day of work, showered and they were ready to do a movie night outside...just saying.

FELIZ CUMPLEANOS MAMI y SARI - August 2013

I know my mom would not be happy knowing I posted this picture of her but the girls were so excited to bring her her gift and the balloons. Part of her gift was to give her 3 picture frames with 2 having a picture of each girl and the third one a picture of the girls together holding a sign. My mom bought them these beautiful dresses from Mexico. How they LOVE Abue. She is so caring and loving towards them! She REALLY devotes so much time to play, nurture, and love them.

Sari, Kyle, and Caleb spent a week with us. So on Aug 4th, had the WHOLE family over to celebrate both Sarahi's birthdays.

June-July 2013 My Rockstars

These girls are fun and energetic and I love every single moment I have with them. "I watch the faces of single people in their twenties after I bring up that 'I have children.' I imagine them taking a small step backward as if to avoid contagion, with a look of 'sorry to hear that' on their face. Like I naively volunteered to contract leprosy, forever quarantining myself from the world of having fun by having children" -  Jim Gaffigan (comedian). And yes, that is how I feel when people ask me how many children we are going to have and I tell them 4. But why not? What am I missing out on by having "a lot" of kids?  money? a few more hours of sleep? I would trade all of this and more for each one of our kids. What could anything be more important than being a mom?

I Love my kids and I look forward to the many others that we will have the blessing and opportunity to have!

new sunglasses

Abue Rosita made these skirts and shirts for the girls. They are beautiful outfits and if I let Jenna wear this every day - she would!

Liz and the kids surprised us with a visit. The girls LOVED seeing Enoch and Lilly!

little chefs

Yes! Jenna is half way there! She is pretty much potty trained during the day.

Got these wiggle racers and they have so much fun driving them down the driveway!

This is one ginormous marshmallow - sugar rush anyone?

Decided to go to Denver with the girls and walk around the temple. Jenna kept trying to give this statue a hug but the clear fence around it wouldn't let her :)

She has a great sense of humor!

JUNE 2013 - Updates on the house.

It has been such a long time since i have posted anything. Not that anything really exciting has happened except for you know, just life. So I will attempt to quickly recap some fun events or picture (mostly for my personal journaling).

This summer was part three of the landscaping work. But we were able to do mostly the fun part - planting. Minimal dirt digging was done this year - yay! We were able to buy an outdoor sectional which turned out to be the greatest decision ever because now we can really be comfortable when we are outside. We have been able to do many outdoor movie nights, smokes, entertaining. Great fun! Janson built from scratch, by himself, this beautiful fireplace. I know my husband is very talented and I know he can do so much but he never ceases to amaze me. I just feel so proud of him!
