HALLOWEEN

I Love Halloween. So we went all out for our costumes for ward's fall festival.. i think we were the only ones dressed up scary. hope we didn't scare any kids. Janson was Frankenstein (in case it wasn't obvious enough), I was Frankensteins wife, Carlie was tinker-bell, and Jenna was a pumpkin. they had many activities for the kids (craft station, ballon animals, coffin races, etc.) On halloween night I was working but Janson took the girls to the mall for trick or treats with our friends the Wojciechowski's who have the cute twins. Carlie was so excited to wear makeup and her tinker-bell dress.

Memories in the making

One of the things I enjoyed about the fish family that I learned of when I first married Janson was the fun competitions they had. For example take his gingerbread house competition. Janson and Justin were top rivals and each were planning their gingerbread houses for WEEKS before the competition. Janson pre-baked a sample of gingerbread he made FROM SCRATCH to make sure it was what he wanted. He found a template for the house and pretty much built this wonderful victorian style house from scratch - with built in lights for the fence. Who was the winner? Janson - winning the grand prize.

WHO WAS RUNNER UP?.........

CAMMI AND I were runner ups with this ginger bread house (above) made from a KIT that we both worked on. Thinking we had no chance against Janson and Justing we started messing around but in the end created a gingerbread master piece in the eyes of the judges - beating Justin's San Fransico style gingerbread house.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME

For my birthday i spent it with my two wonderful girls and i invited my parents to come along (janson was out of town for the week due to work- but we celebrated when he got back). We ended up going to the denver aquarium, which the girls loved, and then out to dinner to my new favorite restaurant - The White Chocolate Grill. It's probably a good thing that it is a distance from here because i am addicted to their tender filet steak sandwich.... if heaven tasted like anything i really think this would be it. So here are some pictures of our trip to the aquarium:

my dad is posing as a caveman....don't ask- that's just him being silly :0)

Carlie is a total mommy's girl. her and i have so much fun together. i hope it always stays that way!
